Do not fall for the following schemes companies push on you to create this "image" of perfection.

1. Company labels. Companies purchase the products from the same place we do, then slap a custom designed label with a logo on it and call it something else.The problem is that the money it costs to do that gets taken away from you, your hosts or your customers.

2. Nationwide Advertising. So your company made a commercial or put an ad in Cosmo. So? Again, the money they use to do that is money that could be in your pocket. Did you see an increase in YOUR business when your company ran that ad? I doubt it!3. 50% commission? That's great, BUT.... you can never steadily earn more than that, you have to pay something towards hostess rewards, pack and deliver product, pay backoffice fees, mandatory websites, do not make full commission on lingerie, pay 3% or more per credit card transaction and a small variety of products to offer your customers.

4. Celebrity Party? Your company did a party for Jessica Simpson, Madonna, Fran Drescher? GREAT! Did you do that party? I didn't think so. Where did you get the benefits of these great parties?
